Waiting For Him

I have finally decided that I'm going to put some of my poetry up on here... once in awhile. So here's A poem that I wrote my freshman year.

So this story starts,
with a very cute boy.
And a quiet, shy girl,
they were meant to be together.

He was a senior,
she was a freshman.
He asked for her number,
she gave it on the spot.

They talked every night,
for hours and hours.
She became obsessed,
waiting for the call.

One night while they were talking,
Her told her,
the eight words she wanted to hear,
'You are the most beautiful girl in school.'

Another night, dark and full,
He wanted to talk.
He said to her,
'I want to ask this girl out'

She was enthralled,
until the next day at school.
When she saw him lip locking,
with a senior soccer player.

This is where the story ends,
where the boy lied to her.
Now she stands afar,
waiting for the boy she wants.

This is a pretty crappy poem but I like it because it means alot to me. It brings back memories. Most of the facts arent real. Only I know the real true facts.

  1. Thanks, I'm glad you like my site and all. :) I'm actually doing my chem homework right now but I do like chemistry. :) It is probably my favorite out of all the sciences. Biology comes next though haha...I reallly dislike Physics but that's probably because I don't really get it. I'm sure that when I do take it again in college I'll understand it better & maybe I'lll like it. Whooo knows?

That was a sad poem. :( Even though it's old, I think you should add another..uh stanza? Or is it verse? Because it cuts off a little short and perhaps that's what you were going for but I think you should write another stanza about how she felt when she saw the boy making out with another girl.

  4. Thanks :)
It's good that your sharing your poetry on your blog. Poetry is subjective not objective. So what you wrote isn't considered finitely crappy.
